PRN Position Description Are you fluent in Spanish and English and passionate about bridging communication gaps in a clinical or secure care environment? We're seeking an Interpreter to facilitate clear, accurate, and culturally responsive communication between Spanish-speaking individuals and English-speaking clinical and security staff. This role is essential to ensuring understanding, trust, and effective care delivery by removing language barriers in critical interactions. What You'll Do Provide accurate, real-time interpretation during clinical interviews, mental health assessments, group therapy, and interactions with treatment and security staff. Interpret using appropriate methods, including consecutive, simultaneous, summarization, and sight translation. Ensure all communication is conveyed clearly, accurately, and without bias while maintaining strict confidentiality. Demonstrate strong understanding of Spanish-speaking cultures, terminology, and nuances relevant to clinical and secure environments. Accurately interpret specialized terminology related to behavioral health, treatment programs, and facility operations. Maintain detailed records of interpretation services, including date, time, location, and participants. Complete all required administrative documentation related to interpretation assignments. Maintain punctuality and reliability for all scheduled sessions and interactions. Support collaboration between individuals served and multidisciplinary teams to enhance understanding and outcomes.
