Job Description

Category Schools - Sign Language Interpreter Job Type Contract Step into a meaningful contract opportunity as a Sign Language Interpreter supporting a dedicated elementary-age student. This role is based on-site in the Commerce City, CO area and is a great fit for skilled interpreters passionate about making a difference in the educational journey of young learners.
Key Qualifications:
Hold an
EIPA 4.0
certification or higher Demonstrated experience in educational settings, preferably working 1:1 with students Fluency in American Sign Language and familiarity with interpreting in classroom environments Ability to collaborate with educators and staff to ensure effective communication Clear background check and adherence to school district protocols
Primary Responsibilities:
Interpret spoken language into sign language and vice versa for a single elementary-aged student Facilitate communication in all classroom, small group, and school-related activities Support teachers by providing feedback and sharing insights that support student engagement Maintain confidentiality and professionalism in accordance with educational standards Assist with any additional interpreting needs as determined by the student's educational team
Position Highlights:
