Job Description

Category Schools - Sign Language Interpreter Job Type Contract Make a meaningful impact by supporting an elementary-aged student as a dedicated Sign Language Interpreter in a supportive educational environment. This contract opportunity is located near Littleton, CO and offers a fulfilling role working directly with students to foster a truly inclusive learning experience from August 6, 2026, through May 27, 2027. As the interpreter, you will work one-on-one with an elementary school student, helping bridge communication with peers, staff, and educators. This on-site position is key to ensuring an equitable academic setting and empowering the student to thrive both academically and socially.
Qualifications/Desired Experience:
EIPA score of 4.0 or higher (required) Demonstrated fluency in sign language interpretation in educational settings Previous experience as a sign language interpreter with school-aged children Deep understanding of confidentiality in student interactions Professional, compassionate, and patient demeanor Ability to collaborate with teachers, school teams, and families
Responsibilities:
Provide direct interpretation services during instructional and non-instructional school hours Support student comprehension and participation in classroom and school activities Work closely with faculty and support staff to promote accessibility in all school interactions Adapt communication to meet evolving academic and social needs of the student Maintain accurate records of services rendered This is an excellent opportunity to make a significant difference in a student's educational journey, while also building meaningful professional relationships.
