Full Job Description Overview:
The Interpreter provides professional verbal and written interpretation services between English and the specified foreign language (primarily Spanish). This role ensures accurate, clear, and culturally appropriate communication to support organizational operations, stakeholder engagement, and mission objectives.

Responsibilities:
Provide real-time verbal interpretation services between English and the specified language. Translate written documents, correspondence, and materials as required. Ensure accuracy, clarity, and fidelity of meaning in both verbal and written interpretations. Maintain neutrality and professionalism during interpretation activities. Support meetings, briefings, interviews, and other engagements requiring language services. Review translated materials for consistency and linguistic accuracy. Maintain confidentiality of sensitive information encountered during interpretation. Coordinate with program staff to clarify terminology and subject matter context. Ensure interpretation aligns with organizational policies and communication standards.
Qualifications:
Approximately four (4) years of experience providing professional interpretation and translation services. Demonstrated proficiency in English and the specified foreign language (primarily Spanish). Strong verbal and written communication skills in both languages. Ability to accurately interpret complex or technical subject matter. Cultural competency and awareness of linguistic nuances. Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism in sensitive environments. Strong attention to detail and accuracy. Ability to perform interpretation services in live and document-based settings.
Education:
Bachelor's Degree (BS/BA) in Business, Foreign Language, Linguistics, Communications, or related field required; OR equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
