Sign Language Interpreter - School Based

Maternity Leave from August 2026 - November 2026 We are seeking a full time or part time Sign Language Interpreter to support students who are deaf or hard of hearing in a school-based setting for the 2026-2027 school year. This role is ideal for an interpreter who loves working with children, believes in inclusive education, and wants to be part of a school team that collaborates instead of leaving you to "figure it out alone." You will provide high-quality educational interpreting services, facilitate communication between students, staff, and peers, and partner closely with teachers, related service providers, and families to support student access and success. Qualifications High school diploma required; Bachelor's or Master's degree preferred but not required Completed EIPA with a score of 3.6 or higher Proficiency in American Sign Language (ASL) and knowledge of deaf culture. Experience interpreting in K-12 educational settings preferred. Strong communication skills, professionalism, and the ability to work as part of a multidisciplinary team.

Schedule and Location School year:

2026-2027 (with potential for renewal).

Typical schedule:
