Category Schools - Sign Language Interpreter Job Type Contract A full-time onsite Sign Language Interpreter (SLI) opportunity is available in Columbus, GA, serving a school district in Muscogee County for the 2026-2027 academic year. This contracted position runs from August 3rd, 2026, through May 21st, 2027, with potential additional pre- and post-planning days. Flexible part-time options may be considered based on hours available. Responsibilities include providing high-quality sign language interpreting services to students across various age groups. The district places importance on matching interpreters with age groups aligned to their experience and preferences, determined during the interview process. Daily service logs must be maintained to document interpreting sessions.

Key Qualifications and Experience:

Active Georgia Educator Certificate for Sign Language Interpreters EIPA score of 3.5 or higher Comfortable completing daily service logs Willingness to work onsite within the school environment Experience working with diverse student populations preferred Candidates previously contracted as VOCO interpreters are not eligible
