Category Schools - Sign Language Interpreter Job Type Contract Make a real difference in the daily life of a 7th-grade student as a full-time Sign Language Interpreter in a supportive educational environment. This contract opportunity is ideal for professionals who thrive in collaborative settings and are passionate about empowering students with diverse needs. Immerse yourself in a dynamic school community near Demorest, GA, where you'll provide dedicated 1:1 American Sign Language (ASL) support for a student who is completely deaf and has limited vision. Bring your energy and outgoing personality to this rewarding role, working alongside experienced teachers in a self-contained classroom. Both full-time (37.5 hours/week, 5 days) and part-time (Tuesdays and Wednesdays) schedules are available, so you can find a structure that works for you.
Qualifications:
Proficient in American Sign Language (ASL); certification strongly preferred Experience as an educational Sign Language Interpreter Comfortable supporting students with both hearing and visual challenges Positive, outgoing approach and excellent communication skills Ability to collaborate effectively with classroom staff and adapt to daily routines
Key Responsibilities:
