QUALIFICATIONS:
1. High School diploma or equivalent. 2. Bilingual (English/Spanish) required. 3. Excellent written and oral communication skills. 4. Excellent organizational skills. 5. Strong interpersonal and intrapersonal skills. 6. Ability to manage multiple priorities. 7. Ability to work with a linguistically and culturally diverse community.
JOB DESCRIPTION / RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Provide Spanish interpretation and translation services during summer special education evaluations, eligibility meetings, and IEP meetings to ensure meaningful parent participation and compliance with state and federal regulations. 2. Assist evaluation team members with communication during student assessments, interviews, observations, and the collection of evaluation data for bilingual students and families. 3. Collaborate with members of the Summer Evaluation Team to support the evaluation process, including scheduling, parent communication, gathering information, and maintaining confidentiality of student records. 4. Assist in the interpretation and translation of evaluation reports, notices, and other special education documents as needed. 5. Maintain professional, ethical, and confidential practices while performing all duties and complete other responsibilities as assigned by the Summer Evaluation Coordinator or designee.
