Qualifications & Experience:
Current licensure as a Sign Language Interpreter (required) Demonstrated experience in translating spoken English to American Sign Language (ASL) and back Ability to facilitate effective communication with Deaf or Hard of Hearing (D/HH) individuals Commitment to upholding ethical standards and confidentiality Availability for a full school year (8/3/26-5/21/27), 37.5 hours per week Experience in an educational setting preferred
Responsibilities:
Translate spoken English into ASL and vice versa for D/HH students and staff Maintain confidentiality and professionalism at all times Serve as primary interpreter for two students at an elementary school setting Support communication in a variety of educational and possibly community scenarios Collaborate with educators and staff to ensure accessibility
