Degree in American Sign Language (ASL) Interpreting, certified ASL Interpreter credentials, and 1+ year of experience as an ASL Interpreter in educational settings. This contract role offers morning hours from 7:35 am to 9:35 am and requires a high level of proficiency in sign language interpretation to support effective communication for students.

Key Responsibilities:

Facilitate clear and accurate sign language interpretation during classroom instruction and school activities. Collaborate with educators and staff to ensure accessibility and inclusion for deaf or hard of hearing students. Maintain confidentiality and professionalism in all interactions. Adapt communication methods to meet the individual needs of students. Participate in ongoing professional development to uphold interpreting standards.

Qualifications and Experience:

Valid EIPA (Educational Interpreter Performance Assessment) score of 4.0 or higher. Proven experience as a sign language interpreter, preferably in an educational setting.
