Qualifications:
Proficiency in American Sign Language (ASL) Previous experience interpreting in educational settings is preferred Ability to provide accurate and compassionate 1:1 sign language support for a student Knowledge of Deaf culture and best practices in classroom interpretation Strong communication, reliability, and flexibility
Responsibilities:
Deliver 1:1 sign language interpreting services for a student within the district Facilitate clear communication between the student, educators, and peers Maintain confidentiality and professionalism Adjust interpreting style to fit classroom dynamics and student needs Collaborate with staff to support student participation and inclusion
