The Robbins House

• Concord's African American History
• Concord, MA $18.00 per hour Job Description The Robbins House, a 2-room farmhouse built c.1823, is Concord's African American history museum, located across from the North Bridge in Concord, MA. The museum is open 7 days a week from April 20-October 31st, 10:30 am
• 4:30 pm. In addition to telling visitors about the first free generation of the families of color who lived in the Robbins house
• including a remarkable woman who taught newly freed people in the South and challenged the country's first Civil Rights Act of 1866
• interpreters often engage in discussions about Concord history, race and civil rights.

Qualifications:

Skills & Abilities:

An avid interest in history and social justice Engaging with the public and keeping them interested Studying the museum training manual with the specifics of the historic house and history, and attending a training workshop

Education:

High school diploma, college courses in history and African American history preferred
