Key Qualifications:
Proficiency in American Sign Language (ASL) with proven experience in educational interpreting Certification as a Sign Language Interpreter (such as RID, EIPA, or state equivalent preferred) Previous experience working in school settings supporting students and staff Strong communication and collaboration skills Adaptability and professionalism in dynamic environments
Responsibilities:
Provide accurate and effective interpretation services for students, faculty, and parents Facilitate clear communication in academic, extracurricular, and administrative settings Ensure confidentiality and impartiality at all times Support classroom participation and social integration for deaf and hard-of-hearing students Collaborate with educators and support teams to foster inclusivity
