Sign Language Interpreter in Pemberton, NJ

Degree in American Sign Language (ASL) Interpreting, certified ASL Interpreter credentials, and 1+ year of experience as an ASL Interpreter in educational settings. A school in Pemberton, NJ, is seeking a skilled Sign Language Interpreter to support one student during the current school term. This contract position requires expertise in educational interpreting to facilitate effective communication and learning for students who are deaf or hard of hearing.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide sign language interpreting services in an educational setting for one student Facilitate clear communication between the student, teachers, and peers Support the student's access to classroom instruction and school activities Maintain confidentiality and professionalism in all interactions

Qualifications & Experience:

Possession of valid EIPA NJ certification standard Proven experience as a sign language interpreter in a school environment Strong communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work collaboratively with educators, students, and families
