Job Description

Category Schools - Sign Language Interpreter Job Type Contract Make an impact supporting students as a Sign Language Interpreter in a vibrant school setting near the lively Sparks, NV area. This contract opportunity offers the chance to work with students across elementary, with occasional middle and high school needs, in an itinerant capacity. You'll work with a manageable caseload, providing communication access to one or two children across different campuses. Your skills in American Sign Language (ASL) will play a crucial role in fostering meaningful classroom participation, social interaction, and learning success. The position runs throughout the academic year, beginning in August and concluding in early June, aligned with the traditional school calendar and centered on a consistent, family-friendly weekday schedule totaling 32 hours per week.
Desired Experience and Qualifications:
National certification as a Sign Language Interpreter EIP score of 3.5 or higher Experience working in school settings strongly preferred Comfortable providing services to elementary-aged students, with flexibility for occasional middle and high school support Ability to travel between campuses as required Completion of all credentialing requirements, including fingerprinting and drug screening
