Summary:
Facilitates linguistic and cultural communication between patients seeking health-care services and their providers.Responsibilities:
Rendering all messages accurately and completely, without adding, omitting or substituting. Filling out Interpreter Service Form each day. Scheduling follow-up appointments for patients and departments. Translating Hospital materials on an as-needed basis. Covering for other interpreters when needed, being flexible with scheduling Assisting Manager of Interpreter Services with projects and initiatives when requested. Educating staff members on how to contact Interpreter Services. Educate staff on why we prefer to use trained interpreters instead of family members.Credentials:
Spanish Hlth Care Interpreter (Required) Certificate of Achievement/Interpretation required.Education or Equivalent Experience:
