Remote Educational Interpreter - Massachusetts VocoVision - 4.0 Medford, MA Job Details Contract Qualifications School experience Educational interpretation Certified Sign Language Interpreter American Sign Language Interpretation experience within education industry Full Job Description Degree in American Sign Language (ASL) Interpreting, certified ASL Interpreter credentials, and 1+ year of experience as an ASL Interpreter in educational settings. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered. A contract opportunity is available for a skilled Sign Language Interpreter specializing in telehealth services within a school environment. This position is based in Medford, MA, and focuses on providing effective communication support for students relying on sign language through virtual platforms.
Key responsibilities include:
Facilitating clear and accurate interpretation between sign language users and hearing individuals during telehealth sessions. Supporting students' access to educational content and communication with educators and healthcare providers. Maintaining confidentiality and professionalism in all interactions. Collaborating with educators and healthcare professionals to ensure seamless communication and support.
Qualifications desired:
Proficiency in American Sign Language (ASL) with demonstrated interpreting experience. Familiarity with telehealth technology and virtual communication platforms.
