This position offers a consistent weekly schedule and the chance to collaborate with educators and support staff from the start of August 2026 through the end of May 2027. What you'll bring: Current proficiency as a Sign Language Interpreter, with experience in educational settings strongly preferred A minimum score of 3.5 on the Educational Interpreter Performance Assessment (EIPA) Commitment to facilitating clear communication between students, teachers, and staff Strong understanding of Deaf culture and the ability to adapt interpreting style to individual needs Professionalism, reliability, and effective collaboration with school teams Key responsibilities: Interpret classroom instruction, lessons, activities, and student/teacher interactions Ensure accurate and timely communication for students who are Deaf or hard of hearing Maintain confidentiality of all student information Support students in both group and one-on-one settings Participate in meetings, professional development sessions, and IEP reviews as needed This contract offers the opportunity to make a significant difference in a supportive educational environment, with full-time hours and the rewarding experience of helping students reach their potential.
