Job Overview:

We are seeking skilled on-site English-Mandarin medical interpreters to provide accurate and culturally appropriate communication support in healthcare settings in Midlothian, Virginia . This role is essential in helping patients and healthcare providers communicate effectively during medical appointments, consultations, procedures, and other healthcare-related interactions. Key Responsibilities:

Provide in-person medical interpretation services between English-speaking healthcare providers and Mandarin-speaking patients. Accurately interpret spoken communication while preserving meaning, tone, and context. Assist healthcare professionals, patients, and administrative staff with effective communication. Maintain strict confidentiality in compliance with HIPAA and professional ethical standards. Demonstrate professionalism, cultural competency, and sensitivity in all interactions. Arrive on time and prepared for scheduled assignments.

Qualifications & Skills:

Fluency in English and Mandarin. Previous medical interpretation experience preferred. Knowledge of medical terminology strongly preferred. Excellent communication, active listening, and interpersonal skills. Ability to work professionally in healthcare environments. Certifications such as CCHI or NBCMI are preferred but not required. Reliability, professionalism, and punctuality are essential. Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
