Job Description

Category Schools - Sign Language Interpreter Job Type Contract We are seeking dedicated Sign Language Interpreters (SLIs) to support students in a school-based setting. This role offers the opportunity to provide meaningful, one-on-one support across multiple grade levels within a collaborative educational environment.
Position Overview:
Start Date:
26/27
NSY Hours:
Full-Time, 37.5 hours per week
Student Assignment:
1:1 interpreting support
Open Positions:
Multiple positions available across various grade levels
Responsibilities:
Provide 1:1 sign language interpretation for students in classroom settings Facilitate communication between students, teachers, and peers Support student access to curriculum and participation in school activities Collaborate with teachers and staff to implement effective communication strategies Maintain professionalism and confidentiality in all school interactions
Requirements:
EIPA score of 3.5 or higher required Previous school-based experience preferred Strong communication and collaboration skills Ability to work effectively in a 1:1 setting Must be comfortable working onsite If you are passionate about supporting students through accessible communication and want to make a meaningful impact, we encourage you to apply.
