Qualifications & Desired Experience:

Proficiency in American Sign Language (ASL) with demonstrated interpreting experience in educational settings National or state certification (such as EIPA, RID, or equivalent) Understanding of deaf culture and best practices in communication access Ability to interpret in both classroom and extracurricular activities Professionalism, reliability, and the ability to adapt to new environments Strong interpersonal and communication skills

Your Role Will Include:

Providing sign language interpretation for students in various K-12 settings Facilitating clear communication between students, teachers, and peers Translating spoken language into sign language and vice versa in both group and one-on-one settings Participating in IEP meetings as needed Following established protocols for confidentiality and ethical standards Supporting an inclusive, positive learning environment When you take on this opportunity, you'll be a vital part of each student's educational journey.
