Job Description

The Company Lovelight Solutions helps commercial and multi-family facility owners and managers significantly lower their utility bills through energy-efficient lighting upgrades throughout Northern California. We make it easy for our customers to improve their lighting, lower operating costs, and reduce environmental impact. We are seeking a reliable and motivated Junior Lighting Installer / Lighting Technician to join our installation team. This role works directly under a Project Lead / Foreman and is ideal for someone with electrical training and field experience who wants to continue growing within the commercial electrical and energy efficiency industry. Duties /
Role:
Perform commercial lighting retrofit installations under the direction of the Project Lead Install LED fixtures, retrofit kits, lamps, drivers, occupancy sensors, lighting controls, and related components Troubleshoot basic lighting and electrical issues in the field Assist with material staging, inventory tracking, and job site organization Safely use ladders, lifts, power tools, and electrical testing equipment Help maintain installation quality, efficiency, and job site safety Support project completion timelines while maintaining attention to detail Communicate clearly with the foreman and installation team regarding job progress or issues Maintain a professional and respectful attitude with customers, tenants, and coworkers Help keep job sites clean, organized, and operating smoothly
Requirements:
Electrical training and hands-on field experience required 2-3+ years of electrical and/or lighting experience preferred Commercial lighting retrofit experience is a strong plus Basic understanding of electrical systems, wiring methods, and safe work practices Comfortable working on ladders and lifts Able to lift 50+ lbs and work in active commercial environments Dependable transportation to and from job sites Basic electrical hand tools and cordless drill required Clean driving record preferred Positive attitude, strong work ethic, and willingness to learn Ability to work efficiently while maintaining safe and quality workmanship
