The Technical Lead oversees all audio, video, lighting, and technical production for the church, with the goal of fostering Spirit-led and worship-filled spaces during Sunday services and weekday events. The Technical Lead is also responsible for the oversight and coordination of the AVL volunteer team, as well as maintenance and operation of the associated production systems throughout the building.Supervisory Responsibilities:
AVL Volunteer Team Duties/Responsibilities:
Excellent and Distraction-free environments of worship: Facilitate high-level operations of audio systems, creating robust mixes that complement worship settings and song selections, and that ensure quality and consistency within services Coordinate proper operation of the lighting system to create unique and engaging lighting experiences tailored to the worship service on a weekly basis Oversee operation and storage of service media; prepare and manage ProPresenter and media computers to properly reflect upcoming service themes and needs, maintaining departmental deadlines Coordinate with Director of Communications on a weekly basis to facilitate visual media to complement worship environments Oversee operation and maintenance of live-stream broadcast, including specifically suiting the streamed audio mix to provide an engaging online experience Assist the Director of Worship arts in facilitating Thursday night worship band rehearsal Troubleshoot in real-time and fix any technical issues that may arise during Sunday morning experiences or during the week Direct stage design to complement AVL experiences: Manage the purchase, maintenance, and operation of all audio, lighting, video broadcast and media production equipment throughout the buildingDevelop and Train Volunteers:
Recruit, train, and disciple AVL volunteers, providing ongoing development and support and empowering them to execute the church vision Coordinate schedule of all AVL volunteer team members for upcoming services and recruit to fill any open positions within the team Mentor and train new and current volunteers on proper equipment use and integration within the Sunday morning services vision Establish processes and systems that help team members create a consistent and high-quality experience Demonstrate care for AVL volunteers through appreciation events and relationship buildingSite-Wide A/V Operator:
Collaborate with Operations Administrative Assistant and/or event leaders to ascertain AVL needs for upcoming events Insure all AVL equipment and related technologies are available and working properly prior to each event Run AVL for on-site events at the time of event if the complexity of operation surpasses the capabilities of those present and leading the eventOther:

Expert knowledge of AVL production equipment and systems Excellence in sound equipment and lighting systems operation in a worship setting Ability to operate with a high attention to detail in all areas of technical production Creative ability in the art of video storytelling is a plus Demonstrated ability to lead and motivate teams of volunteers Strong verbal and written communication skillsQualifications:
Associate's degree in audio/video, video production or other related field preferred, or comparable experience to demonstrate competency 3-5 years' experience in a similar church position desiredPay:
