Job Description:
Washington Talent Agency, a premier live event entertainment company, is seeking an experienced and motivated Lighting Manager to join our growing production team. This is an exciting opportunity to lead lighting operations for high-end weddings, corporate events, galas, and private events throughout the DC, Maryland, and Virginia area. Position Overview As a Lighting Manager, you will oversee the execution of event lighting from load-in to load-out, ensuring a polished and professional experience for both clients and guests. You will work closely with our production staff, planners, and entertainment teams to bring each event's creative vision to life. Responsibilities
  • Lead the setup, operation, and breakdown of professional lighting systems
  • Manage on-site lighting crews and stage hands during events
  • Program, troubleshoot, and operate lighting equipment as needed
  • Ensure lighting design and execution align with client expectations and event flow
  • Maintain organization, safety, and efficiency during load-ins and load-outs
  • Collaborate with DJs, bands, planners, and venue staff throughout events
  • Assist with inventory management, equipment maintenance, and warehouse organization Requirements
  • Must be 18 years or older with a valid driver's license
  • Saturday availability is essential
  • Ability to lift 75 lbs or more
  • Comfortable working in fast-paced, high-pressure event environments
  • Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to think quickly and adapt during live events Required Skills
  • Experience with DMX lighting, wireless DMX, and signal routing
  • Familiarity with lighting consoles/software and intelligent lighting fixtures
  • General A/V and production knowledge
  • Comfortable using both Windows and Mac operating systems
  • Experience working weddings, concerts, or live events is a major plus
