  • $28 an hour 1 day ago Qualifications Team supervision Moving Live event audio projects Power tools Hand tools Full Job Description The Rex Theatre in Manchester, NH is actively seeking experienced audio and lighting technicians to work in our 320-seat venue.
Candidates local to Manchester/Southern NH area are especially encouraged to apply. Since its renovation in 2019, the Rex Theatre has increased its programming year-over-year. Currently, approximately 200 events take place at the Rex each year, including touring and local bands, comedians, magicians, dance groups, corporate events, and more! Our audio & lighting technicians are responsible for loading in, setting up, operating, tearing down, and loading out all needed technical elements for Rex Theatre productions.
Education/Experience:
  • Experience with Allen & Heath SQ-series (audio) consoles, or ETC (lighting) consoles strongly desired
  • Two or more years' experience in technical theatre, live events, or related field preferred
Skills & Abilities:
  • Experience working in a venue setting strongly preferred
  • Any experience as a board op for musical theatre would be a plus!
  • Ability/willingness to lead a small team with various projects
  • Proficiency using various hand/power tools as needed
  • Excellent organizational and comunnication skills
  • Ability to work independently and solve problems as they arrise with minimal supervision
Physical Demands:
  • Wide range of physical movements including sitting, standing, walking, reaching, twisting, turning, kneeling, bending, squatting, etc. in the performance of daily activities
  • Ability to lift, drag, and/or push materials weighing up to 50 pounds on a regular basis
  • Moderate exposure to loud noises, bright lights, moving theatrical elements, etc. as well as the potential for electrical shock and burn hazards
  • Ability to work on ladders, mechanical lifts, and/or in high places required Hourly position with potential for growth. Competitive pay DOE.
