We operate on a project-based employment model and are seeking experienced Lighting Technician to support field installations on commercial retrofit projects. This role is designed for skilled installers who can work independently, follow project standards, and deliver high-quality installations in fast-paced, commercial environments. Assignment Model Project-Based Work:

Assignments typically last 2-4 weeks

Schedule:

8-10 hour shifts (days & nights)

Hours:

40+ hours per week during active assignments

Travel:

Weekly travel required during projects

Pay & Role Details Hourly Rate:

$22-$24/hour (based on experience)

Per Diem:

$35/day when traveling for overnight project assignments

Lodging:

Company-provided during overnight, travel-based assignments

Role Structure:

Hands-on field installation role with clear expectations and accountability Installer Responsibilities Install and test commercial LED lighting systems, including fixtures, ballasts, drivers, and controls Perform lighting retrofits in warehouses, retail spaces, offices, and other commercial facilities Follow project layouts, installation standards, and safety procedures Assist with material handling, staging, and jobsite organization Troubleshoot basic installation issues and report discrepancies Support accurate installation counts and basic photo documentation as required Maintain clean, professional job sites Work collaboratively with crew members and project leadership Required Experience & Qualifications Minimum 3-5 years of commercial lighting or electrical retrofit experience (required) Strong hands-on installation skills in commercial environments Familiarity with LED retrofit work, including fixture swaps and control installations Comfortable using mobile devices or basic digital tools for job documentation Available for travel-based, overnight project assignments Willing and able to work night shifts as required Valid driver's license (preferred) Must have and maintain personal hand tools typical for commercial lighting installation work Reliable, safety-conscious, and self-directed work ethic Physical & Work Requirements Ability to work on 6-12 ft ladders for extended periods Ability to operate lifts ranging from 12-80 feet Ability to safely lift 50-75 lbs of lighting and materials Ability to stand, climb, and work overhead for 8-10 hour shifts

Additional Information Residency Requirement:

Ohio-based candidates or those within a reasonable driving distance of Barberton, OH are preferred. Relocation assistance is not provided.
