Posting Details Posting Details Posting Number S07033P Position Title Instructional Media Lead Functional Title Instructional Media Lead Department Educational Technology Services Salary Range Starting at $60,000.00 DOQ Pay Basis Monthly Position Status Regular full-time Location Richardson Position End Date (if temporary) Posting Open Date 05/07/2026 Posting Close Date Open Until Filled Yes Desired Start Date 05/25/2026 Job Summary This position is classified as Video Services Supervisor for HR purposes with a functional working title of Instructional Media Lead and will provide audio/video recording and editing expertise to support the creation of high-quality instructional media in a professional studio environment. This role partners with faculty and the instructional design team to plan and produce instructional content. The role also supervises and trains student workers who support studio and production tasks. Minimum Education and Experience Bachelor of Arts/Bachelor of Science in media, video or closely related field.

Supervision of technicians and two years experience in video services or closely related field. Preferred Education and Experience Experience with:
  • Operating and running professional A/V studio equipment and workflows (camera, lighting, audio, and recording systems)
  • Multi-camera studio recording setups, including syncing, monitoring, and managing multiplecamera angles
  • Green screen/Chroma Key lighting andpositing
  • Working with cyclorama (cyc) and hybrid cyc walls
  • Creating repeatable studio setups and basic backup plans for consistent recording results
  • Teleprompter operation and creating repeatable templates for instructional videos
  • Configuring OBS for recording (scenes, audio, and recording settings)
  • Producing
VR/AR/MR
video, including capture and post workflows
  • DaVinci Resolve and After Effects, including color correction and efficient editing workflows
  • Audio post-production workflows for clean dialogue and consistent levels
  • Using AI-assisted tools in media production Education preferred:
  • Educational background in instructional technology, curriculum design, or a related field Other Qualifications To the extent this position requires the holder to research, work on, or have access to critical infrastructure as defined in Section 117.
001(2) of the Texas Business and Commerce Code, the ability to maintain the security or integrity of the critical infrastructure is a minimum qualification to be hired and to continue to be employed in the position. Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Maintain reliable studio setups and troubleshoot audio, video, and lighting issues.
  • Assist with faculty studio scheduling and production timelines for recording projects.
  • Produce high-quality instructional media in a professional studio environment.
  • Edit and produce video, including multi-camera recordings, to meet quality standards, including basic color correction and audio cleanup for consistent results.
  • Edit multi-camera recordings, including syncing audio/video and selecting angles for a polished final cut.
  • Support project archiving and final delivery processes.
  • Coach faculty on recording strategies, on-camera delivery, and studio best practices.
  • Partner with instructional designers to align media with learning goals and course needs.
  • Train, schedule, and supervise student workers to support recording sessions and post-production tasks, ensuring that student work meets quality standards.
Physical Demands and Working Conditions Able to position equipment such as lights and cameras. Must be able to lift equipment weighing 20 pounds. Must be able to bend, stoop, reach and climb ladders, stretch to reach equipment, and replace equipment at ceiling level.
