We are an award-winning comedy club that features America's top comedians. Our commitment is to produce the very best comedic venue in the nation, and we are only hiring individuals that share our same vision. We have a full-service kitchen, and bar with great food and drinks, plenty of loyal regulars, and a large, diverse crowd. DraftCade is located next to the Funny Bone Comedy Club. We have an entertaining gaming experience like you've never seen before with over 75 classic 1980s arcade games! 48 draft beers are on tap and we're always rotating them to bring you a unique and flavorful beer selection, as well as a full-service bar and kitchen. We're looking for an experienced Audio/Visual (A/V) Technician to join our team! This is a hands-on position that plays a key role in creating an exceptional live entertainment experience for our guests and performers. The ideal candidate is dependable, organized, tech-savvy, and comfortable working in a fast-paced live event environment. Experience with live sound and lighting is required , and a positive, team-first attitude is essential. This position is part time. Nights and weekends are required. Responsibilities Operate and monitor live sound and lighting systems during comedy shows and special events. Manage microphones, audio equipment, lighting consoles, Mac computers, iPads, and other event technology. Coordinate directly with comedians, entertainers, and event hosts to review show timing, music selections, microphone preferences, sound cues, and other production needs. Ensure smooth transitions throughout each performance while maintaining professional audio and lighting quality. Communicate show timing with management and service staff, including announcing last call based on the remaining length of the performance. Troubleshoot technical issues quickly and efficiently during live events. Set up, test, and break down A/V equipment before and after events. Maintain and organize A/V equipment and notify management of any maintenance or repair needs. Additional Responsibilities This position is also an important member of our front-of-house and security team.
Responsibilities include:
Assisting with guest seating and crowd flow. Helping maintain a safe and enjoyable environment during events. Bussing tables and assisting with light cleaning and trash removal. Supporting performers with merchandise sales and meet-and-greets when needed. Assisting other departments as business needs require. Providing outstanding customer service while maintaining a professional and friendly attitude. Qualifications Previous experience operating live sound and lighting equipment is required. Experience with live entertainment, theaters, comedy clubs, concerts, or event production is preferred. Ability to lift 40lbs Ability to withstand long periods of standing, as well as some bending, stooping and lifting. Flexible availability. Nights and weekends are required. Hours may vary based on private event bookings and comedy show schedule.
