Macdonald & Company are proudly partnered with a growing real estate investment and development platform to appoint a Senior Director of Asset Management for their Denver, Colorado office. The firm is an active owner, operator, and developer of multifamily real estate nationally, with a portfolio spanning both stabilized and lease-up communities. The company is evolving toward a more institutional, REIT-style operating platform with a strong emphasis on operational performance, systems, and driving NOI across the portfolio. They are seeking a Senior Director of Asset Management to play a key role in optimizing the performance of a multifamily portfolio across multiple markets. The Role This is a highly operational asset management role focused on driving NOI, enhancing property performance, and helping evolve a more institutional, performance-driven asset management platform. The firm is looking for a hands-on leader who can combine strategic thinking with strong operational execution. The portfolio includes a mix of stabilized and lease-up multifamily assets, creating an opportunity for someone who enjoys both operational oversight and value creation Key Responsibilities Drive property and portfolio performance across a multifamily portfolio Develop and execute asset-level business plans focused on NOI growth and value enhancement Partner closely with third-party property management companies, holding them accountable for operational execution and financial performance Analyze property performance, identify opportunities for revenue growth and expense optimization, and implement actionable strategies Lead budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis efforts across assigned assets Collaborate with internal investment, development, and operations teams to maximize asset performance Oversee operational initiatives including procurement, expense management, capital planning, and operational efficiencies Provide regular reporting and portfolio insights to senior leadership, helping drive strategic decision-making Help continue the evolution of a more sophisticated and institutional asset management platform
