Overview:

We're producing a branded lifestyle video featuring a professional athlete in the Washington DC area. The shoot includes a sit-down interview and casual, day-in-the-life lifestyle moments at a private residence. Looking for a director who can lead talent through a relaxed, conversational shoot day and work closely with the DP and crew to execute a provided creative treatment.

Responsibilities:

Direct talent through interview and lifestyle b-roll moments Work from a provided shot list and creative treatment Collaborate with a remote executive producer (me) leading up to and during the shoot Lead the on-set crew (DP, audio, PA) through the run of show Comfortable directing non-actor talent in a natural, conversational setting

Crew Size:

Small — director, DP, possible 2nd camera, audio person,

PA Hours:

Approx. 10am-6pm

Equipment:

Provided/coordinated separately — director does not need to supply gear

Ideal Candidate:

Experience directing branded content, lifestyle, or sports content Strong with talent direction and pulling natural soundbites Reliable, professional, easy to communicate with remotely Based in or near DC
