Company Description Achen Becker Media, LLC is a locally focused broadcasting company dedicated to delivering engaging radio programming that informs, entertains, and connects communities across Northeast Iowa. We foster a collaborative team culture and value individuals who are passionate about both media and the communities we serve. Role Description This is a full-time, on-site role in Charles City or New Hampton, IA, for a Farm Director. In this role, you'll be responsible for developing and delivering agriculture-focused content across our radio and digital platforms (KCZE (The Bull), KCHA FM/AM). This includes gathering and reporting on local and regional ag news, conducting interviews with farmers and industry professionals, and creating content that is informative, timely, and relevant to our audience. You'll contribute on-air updates as needed, maintain strong relationships within the agricultural community, and represent the station at local events. You'll also collaborate with the broader team to ensure consistent, high-quality programming while helping expand our digital presence. Qualifications Strong knowledge of agriculture and the local farming community Excellent communication skills and the ability to present information clearly and engagingly Interest in radio or media; on-air, previous experience is not required Ability to build relationships and conduct interviews with farmers and ag professionals Digital skills (social media, content creation, or basic audio/video editing) preferred Ability to manage deadlines and adapt to a fast-paced news environment Self-starter with strong organizational skills New position: the right candidate can help shape the direction of the role Competitive pay based on experience.
