here: frootgroup.com/gpproduction Grace Pointe Church is a multisite non-denominational church located in Naperville, IL and Plainfield, IL, which are suburbs of Chicago. The church is led by Lead Pastor Dan Painter, who has been on staff for more than 20 years. Grace Pointe currently sees 800 to 900 people in-person on Sunday mornings at their Naperville campus, with approximately 1,100 in total attendance across both campuses. The Naperville campus offers three services on Sunday mornings with a modern style of worship. Grace Pointe serves a unique culture that has an extremely high focus and priority on families. Naperville is currently ranked among the top places in the country to raise a family, boasting incredible school systems and after-school programs, low crime rates, economic growth, and affordability. Grace Pointe excels in their outreach programs and maintains high expectations for excellence in everything they do, including on Sunday mornings for worship and throughout the week for family ministries. The church is seeking the right candidate to step into the role of Production Director and oversee the production ministry at the Naperville Campus. The right candidate will have a deep personal life in Christ and the character and capacity that align with the church's overall mission and vision. Below are the qualifications and responsibilities Froot Group and the church have identified for this role:KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Make Services Seamless:
Execute and oversee all technical aspects of live worship services, including audio mixing, lighting design, video production, livestreaming, and stage design. Collaborate with the Worship Pastor to plan and execute rehearsals, services, and special events at a high level of excellence. Design and manage lighting cues through Vista for each song, transition, and element within the service. Oversee all visual elements through ProPresenter. Maintain multitrack sessions and service files for consistent week-to-week production. Maintain a reliable livestream for the second service each week. Lead theTech Team:
Recruit, train, and develop a team of production volunteers across audio, video, lighting, and presentation. In partnership with the Worship Pastor, foster a positive and encouraging team environment while making sure everyone understands their responsibilities. Build clear pathways for volunteer onboarding and growth. Keep the Gear inCheck:
Maintain all production equipment, including Waves servers and licensing, ProPresenter systems, Dante networking infrastructure, and live video switching systems. Perform preventative maintenance across all AVL systems and troubleshoot issues proactively. Stay current on industry trends and recommend upgrades and improvements as needed.Quality Control:
Implement and uphold standards for audio, video, and lighting quality during all church services. Create clear documentation and training resources for all production systems. Conduct regular checks on all equipment and continuously identify opportunities for improvement. Keep Everyone in theLoop:
Effectively communicate technical requirements, schedules, and expectations to relevant teams and volunteers. Collaborate with the Worship Pastor and other staff to ensure production supports the overall vision and mission of the church. Support production for conferences, funerals, weddings, and other special events throughout the year.QUALIFICATIONS
Expert-level knowledge of audio systems, with strong working knowledge of video and lighting (audio is the top priority). Advanced experience with Waves plugins in a live environment. Strong working knowledge of ProPresenter. Experience with Multitracks and multitrack session management. Experience managing Dante networks (certification preferred). Experience with digital mixing consoles and live video switching and streaming systems. Familiarity with Jans Vista or similar lighting control systems. Proficiency in PCO (Planning Center Online) and Microsoft Office. Strong systems thinking and troubleshooting ability. Ability to self-manage weekly responsibilities without close supervision. Ability to work collaboratively with staff and volunteers. Creative problem-solving skills and adaptability in a live production environment. Strong communication skills, both written and verbal. Education No formal degree required. Experience and proven skill will take precedence. Experience A minimum of 3 years of on-staff church production experience is strongly preferred.Reports to:
