Job Duties Essential Duties and Responsibilities Duties include:  Assist in recruiting and training of student workers who can produce live and recorded sports programming.  Supervise unpaid student workers who work on sports programming and ensure that all scheduled duties are performed.  If appropriate, designate an experienced student worker as assistant sports director.  Serve as an on-air sports talent when necessary.  Assist in the acquisition of sports shows produced by other programming services.  Maintain the station's sports library.  Coordinate with other directors to ensure that programs are broadcast as scheduled.  Ensure sports programming fully covers the range of sports at ISU and is a mix of both special event coverage, such as game play-by-plays, and sports news programs.  Assist in the development of new programming with interested student workers.  Assist in the development of a diverse sports programming schedule that reflects the university's mission to provide an educational, noncommercial broadcasting service while also offering a learning opportunity for student staff members.  Work with the program director and the webmaster to develop relevant and timely sports-related content for WISU's website. Performs other duties as assigned.
