Position Summary The Media Manager is responsible for leading the annual media planning across Digital and Traditional properties in a way that translates the marketing strategy into a cohesive media strategy and aligns with the brand's marketing objectives. This role acts as the Media Subject Matter Expert for both annual and initiative-based plans and is accountable for driving strategy-driven, impactful plans that advance iROAS/iROI, new customer acquisition, loyalty, and competitive advantage. The position is the day-to-day liaison with the assigned media agency to ensure plans are developed and executed flawlessly within the allocated $30-$40M budget, while actively championing experimentation with new media formats to deepen shopper connection. The role maintains knowledge of the competitive media landscape, tracks share of voice and competitor spend, and flags any drops in SOV or substantial increases in competitor activity to inform strategy adjustments. Principle duties and responsibilities Owns the media plan development and deployment for all media channels, inclusive of Linear TV, audio, Out-of-Home, Connected TV, OLV, Display, Social, Paid Search, Affiliate, and test & learn opportunities. Responsible for ensuring performance goals are met or exceeded via media metrics & incrementality. Plan and effectively manage a $30 - $35M annual media budget providing monthly forecast updates to Finance. Provide/recommend increases/ decreases in spending where appropriate to take advantage of opportunities as they occur and to achieve business performance. Manage media agency partner to develop strategy plans within set budget and offer up innovative ideas and value adds for the Brand. Ensure rigorous performance analysis is conducted on all media channels to optimize the media mix by channel. Be a subject matter expert on all media channels and be an active member of the Integrated Planning Process meetings. Responsible for the deployment of all media channels and ensure cross-functional partners complete the necessary work to deliver on time, on strategy plans. Lead through a continuous improvement mindset by setting strong goals and feedback sessions and apply learnings to media plans. Stay current on media trends and create test & learn plans to continually optimize plans. Lead, mentor, and develop one social media specialist by setting clear goals and accountability for performance. Collaborate with NFR on contract negotiations with selected media partner to provide optimized fee structure and value. Basic Qualification 8+ years of experience in a media agency or client-side marketing team. Traditional and Digital experience a plus. Experience in effectively managing multi-million-dollar media budgets. Experience in utilizing media analytics to inform optimal plans. Education Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience. Skills and abilities Expertise in developing a wide range of marketing plans in a dynamic environment. Strong relationship-building skills. Highly proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel and PowerPoint. Strong understanding of media analytics. Solid understanding of the technical needs behind digital marketing channels. Solid understanding of all emerging trends in the media industry. Strong ability to convert strategic plans into execution of tactics.
