Director of Sports Performance Redline Athletics Papillion La Vista La Vista, NE Job Details Full-time $20 - $26 an hour 11 hours ago Qualifications Youth fitness Interpersonal skills Team development Data collection Camp Full Job Description Redline Athletics Papillion La Vista La Vista, NE About Redline Athletics Redline Athletics Papillion La Vista is a youth athletic performance training facility focused on helping athletes ages 8-18 improve their speed, agility, strength, power, mobility, coordination, confidence, and overall athletic development. We are looking for a motivated, knowledgeable, and high-energy Director of Sports Performance to help lead our training floor, develop young athletes, support our coaching staff, and create an exceptional experience for every athlete and family who walks through our doors. Position Overview The Director of Sports Performance is responsible for delivering high-quality training sessions, overseeing the athlete experience, assisting with staff development, tracking athlete performance, communicating with parents, and helping support member retention and growth. This position is ideal for someone who is passionate about youth sports performance, enjoys coaching athletes of all skill levels, and wants to play a key leadership role in building a positive and competitive training culture. Responsibilities Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Athlete Coaching and Development Lead Redline's pre-designed performance training sessions for youth athletes ages 8-18. Coach athletes in speed, agility, strength, mobility, coordination, and overall athletic performance. Motivate, encourage, and connect with athletes in a positive and professional manner. Help athletes feel welcomed, supported, challenged, and excited to train. Assist with athlete testing, data collection, and performance tracking. Communicate progress and training-related information to parents and families. Training Floor Leadership Help oversee Sports Performance Specialists and ensure consistent coaching quality. Support the ongoing development of coaching staff. Maintain a high-energy, safe, organized, and professional training environment. Ensure athletes receive a consistent and exceptional member experience. Assist with programming communication and execution. Camps, Clinics, Team Training, and Events Lead or assist with camps, clinics, team training, sport-specific training, testing events, and other special programs. Help develop additional training opportunities for members and non-members. Represent Redline Athletics in a professional and positive manner during community events, team partnerships, and facility programming. Member Experience and Retention Build strong relationships with athletes and parents. Assist with member retention by creating a positive, results-driven training environment. Support the General Manager and ownership team with prospective member communication, facility tours, trial sessions, and athlete evaluations when needed. Help create a culture where athletes and families feel valued and excited to be part of Redline. Facility Standards Help maintain a clean, safe, and professional facility. Assist with daily cleaning tasks, including wiping down equipment, organizing training areas, vacuuming, mopping, restroom checks, and other shared facility responsibilities. Complete weekly or monthly cleaning and organization tasks as assigned. Qualifications 1-2 years of experience in sports performance, strength and conditioning, personal training, athletic coaching, or a related field preferred. Experience working with youth athletes under the age of 18 preferred.
NSCA-CSCS
certification preferred, or currently working toward CSCS certification. Comparable industry certifications may be considered. Strong communication skills with athletes, parents, staff, and leadership. Passion for sports, fitness, youth development, and human performance. Strong work ethic and willingness to help build a new facility culture. Positive, upbeat, patient, professional, and dependable. Ability to motivate athletes while maintaining high standards for safety and technique. Must model professionalism, leadership, and a commitment to health and fitness. Ideal Candidate The ideal candidate is someone who loves working with young athletes, brings energy to the training floor, communicates well with parents, and wants to be part of building something special in the Papillion La Vista community. We are looking for someone who is not only a strong coach, but also a leader, mentor, and positive influence for athletes ages 8-18.
Pay:
$20.00 - $26.00 per hour
