However, Nectar also develops websites for its clients and manages their paid social and search along with their email marketing. Role:
We are seeking a highly organized and operationally-driven Studio Manager to lead the daily production operations of our photography & videography studio. This role blends hands-on production oversight with team leadership, logistical coordination, and cross-department collaboration. As the operational anchor of the studio, you will ensure that space, equipment, schedules, and workflows run smoothly while supporting the creative vision set by the Art Director and brand partners. You will lead on-site and off-site shoots, manage studio personnel, coordinate vendors and resources, and serve as the primary point of accountability for the physical studio environment. This is an opportunity for a proactive, solutions-oriented leader who thrives in fast-paced creative environments and can translate strategic direction into seamless production execution. This is a full-time, on-site position.
Responsibilities:
Production Operations & Studio Management Establish and oversee daily studio operations, ensuring space, equipment, and workflows are optimized and functioning smoothly. Lead and coordinate all on-site and off-site photo and video shoots. Manage studio personnel and ensure efficient staffing and task allocation. Serve as the primary point of accountability to company leadership for on-site building management and operational standards. Upload, organize, and tag photo and video assets within our asset management system, Canto, maintaining clear file naming, folder structure, metadata, and usage organization so assets are easy to find and use. Creative Direction & On-Set Leadership Develop shot lists and provide on-set creative direction based on concepts developed by the Art Director and approved by partner brands. Ensure photographers and videographers execute visual direction aligned with campaign goals. Collaborate closely with the Art Director to ensure production output matches design needs and shot concepts. Logistics, Vendors & Resource Coordination Manage production logistics, vendor relationships, and resource allocation. Ensure equipment, props, and production materials are available, functional, and well-maintained. Coordinate schedules, shoot timelines, and studio usage. Oversee post-shoot asset handling and delivery workflows to ensure content is organized, archived, and accessible. Evaluate how the studio space and team are being used, and proactively suggest improvements that increase efficiency, organization, and creative productivity. Cross-Functional Collaboration Partner with the Art Director for visual alignment and creative execution. Proactively communicate with leadership regarding building operations and studio readiness across remote and in-person teams. Support seamless integration between production, creative, and project management teams.
Primary Qualifications:
5+ years of experience in studio operations, production management, or creative operations. Proven experience leading on-set photo/video productions. Strong organizational and logistical planning skills. Ability to provide clear, on-set direction aligned with creative strategy. Experience managing teams and coordinating vendors. Familiarity with production equipment, studio workflows, and safety protocols. Highly reliable, detail-oriented, and comfortable managing multiple moving parts in a fast-paced environment.
Other Qualifications:
Proven ability to multi-task and manage projects on strict deadlines. Excellent written and verbal skills. Self-motivated, results-oriented, and able to work independently as well as part of a team. Agency experience is a plus.
