Full Job Description Director, Leader & Talent Development Job Summary:
The Director, Leader & Talent Development is responsible for designing, facilitating, and operationalizing ArchWell Health's enterprise leadership development programs, New Colleague Orientation (NCO), and other core talent development experiences. This role ensures all programs are grounded in high-impact adult learning, operational excellence, and continuous improvement. The Director will oversee end-to-end program delivery—including curriculum design, facilitation, logistics, evaluation, and continuous refinement—while partnering closely with operations, HR, clinical leadership, and market leaders to ensure programs align with the realities of a fast-growing, value-based care organization. This leader must bring strong director-level operational experience (preferably within a value-based care environment), proven facilitation capability, and the ability to build scalable learning experiences that strengthen talent pipelines and drive organizational performance.
Duties/Responsibilities:
Leadership & Talent Development Programs Lead the strategic design, delivery, and continuous improvement of ArchWell Health's leadership development portfolio. Facilitate leadership sessions, workshops, and experiential learning activities with confidence and presence. Ensure programs incorporate measurable outcomes, coaching components, and application to operations. Partner with leaders to align programs with ArchWell Health's operating model and growth strategy. New Colleague Orientation (NCO) Own the design, facilitation, and operations of NCO to ensure a consistent, high-impact onboarding experience. Partner with HR, operations, and market teams to optimize orientation flow, content, and logistics. Monitor effectiveness using evaluations and retention insights to drive improvement. Talent Development Strategy & Operations Maintain a unified talent development roadmap aligned with workforce needs. Oversee program operations including scheduling, cohort management, and communication workflows. Develop evaluation frameworks to measure learning effectiveness and business impact. Ensure learning experiences reflect modern design standards and adult learning principles. Cross-Functional Leadership & Partnership Serve as a strategic partner to senior leaders, operations, and clinical teams. Lead cross-functional teams and vendors to execute large-scale initiatives. Model exceptional collaboration and communication across markets.
Required Skills/Abilities:
Proven facilitation experience with leaders at all levels. Experience designing and delivering leadership and talent programs. Strong understanding of adult learning principles. Experience applying metrics and continuous improvement methods to programs. Ability to manage complex program operations across multiple markets.
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in OD, education, HR, business, or related field required; Master's degree preferred Minimum 5 years of director-level or equivalent operational leadership experience. Ability and willingness to travel to Nashville and ArchWell Health markets to support program facilitation and major initiatives (approx.. 40-50%) Professional certifications (SHRM, ATD, coaching, facilitation), preferred Experience in value-based care, primary care, or healthcare operations, preferred Experience in high-growth, multi-site environments, preferred Embodies and serves as a role model of
