This role ensures excellence in audio, video, lighting, and technical systems that support worship services, ministry programming, and campus-wide events. The Director collaborates across all departments to create engaging, distraction-free environments that enhance the mission and message of the church and campus. Key Responsibilities Production Leadership & Oversight Lead all aspects of weekend church events and services and special events production (audio, video, lighting, staging). Ensure consistent, high-quality production standards across all venues and environments. Develop and implement systems, workflows, and best practices for production teams. Team Development & Volunteer Leadership Recruit, train, and shepherd volunteer production teams. Provide coaching and development for team members to grow both technically and spiritually. Foster a healthy, collaborative, and excellence-driven team culture. Cross-Department Collaboration Partner with Worship, Creative, Communications, First Impressions team, and other ministries to support programming needs. Participate in planning meetings to align production with ministry and campus goals and creative direction. Serve as a key collaborator in executing church-wide initiatives as related to audio, video, lighting, staging. Technical Systems Management Oversee maintenance, upgrades, and stewardship of all production equipment and systems. Manage production budgets, vendor relationships, and capital improvement planning. Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues proactively.
- Conduct regular safety audits and risk assessments for production systems and spaces
- Ensure all production environments comply with fire safety codes, occupancy limits, and emergency egress requirements
- Partner with Facilities to implement safety protocols, audits, and emergency procedures Event & Campus Support Support production needs for ministry events, conferences, weddings, funerals, and external partnerships.
Ensure all campus venues are equipped and prepared for their intended use. Qualifications Strong personal alignment with the mission and vision of the church and organization. Proven experience in live production environments (church or comparable setting preferred). Proficiency in audio, video, lighting, and broadcast/streaming systems. Demonstrated leadership experience with teams and volunteers. Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills. Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines effectively. Church or religious institution experience preferred.
