Job Description

The Commercial Manager is a leadership role responsible for driving revenue growth and managing the commercial operations of the organization. This individual will lead and develop a team of Regional Sales Managers and Contracts Administrators, ensuring alignment between sales strategy and contractual execution. The ideal candidate brings a strong blend of commercial acumen, sales leadership, and operational excellence. Key Responsibilities Sales Leadership & Strategy Develop and execute the commercial strategy to achieve revenue targets and market growth objectives Lead, mentor, and manage a team of Regional Sales Managers to drive sales performance across all territories Set and monitor sales KPIs, pipeline metrics, and revenue forecasts Identify new market opportunities, key accounts, and strategic partnerships Collaborate with executive leadership to align commercial goals with overall business strategy Contracts & Commercial Operations Oversee the Contracts Administration team to ensure accurate, timely, and compliant contract management Ensure all commercial agreements align with company policies, risk tolerance, and profitability targets Streamline contract workflows, approval processes, and commercial terms standardization Manage pricing strategies, margin analysis, and competitive positioning Resolve escalated contractual disputes and negotiate high-value agreements Team Development & Performance Management Build a high-performing commercial organization through recruitment, coaching, and professional development Conduct regular performance reviews and implement development plans for direct reports Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement Ensure effective communication and coordination between sales and contracts teams Reporting & Analysis Provide regular reporting on commercial performance, pipeline health, and contract status to senior leadership Analyze market trends, competitive landscape, and customer feedback to inform strategy Develop and manage the commercial department budget Qualifications & Experience Required 8+ years of progressive experience in commercial management, sales, or business development Proven track record of leading and growing sales teams, preferably Regional Sales Managers or equivalent Strong experience in contract management, negotiation, and commercial terms Demonstrated ability to develop and execute commercial strategies that deliver measurable revenue growth Experience managing P&L responsibility or contributing to revenue and margin targets Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate data into actionable business decisions Preferred Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Finance, or a related field (MBA a plus) Experience in a relevant industry sector or related industries Familiarity with CRM platforms (e.g., Salesforce) and contract management systems Experience managing cross-functional teams in a matrixed environment
Pay:
$130,000.00 - $140,000.00 per year
