$56,850.00•$80,375.00 Summary/Objective This position is responsible for the oversight of production elements of the weekend gatherings and special events. This position is responsible for supervision of the audio / visual teams. Additionally, this role actively sits on the audio team, serving as the main technical engineer for weekend gatherings and events. The Director is responsible for overall management of the audio / visual team including, but not limited to, department budgets, strategic planning, and staff development. The Director is responsible for coordinating the audio / visual, media team, and Creative Team to meet the deadlines and demands for all gatherings and other ministry related events. Supervisory Responsibility This position manages the audio, visual and lighting team members. Responsibilities Strategic planning for Production Department. Oversees department and individual employee's goals congruent with Life Center's Goals Oversees work activity of audio / visual team and responsible for their development and performance General knowledge of employment law Oversight of audio/ visual department budgets Liaison between Creative Team and the production team, and Senior Pastor to meet deadlines for all gatherings and other events/ministry requests Implement production design that captures event organizer's vision Oversee set design for weekend gatherings, special series and events from start to finish Collaborate with Creative Team and Senior Pastor to generate and execute set designs Exercises independent judgment and discretion in significant matters including, but not limited, to negotiating and entering into contracts with third party vendors Cultivates relationships with key community partners and commercial/contracted vendors Promotes unity among campus production staff Character and Role Competencies All Level 1 and 2 competencies plus: Fulfill Character, Competency, Chemistry and Culture requirements as set by Life Center Ministries Demonstrated team management, leadership ability, and interpersonal skills Strong critical thinking, active listening, and complex technical problem-solving skills Ability to make quick decisions regarding unexpected problems in production Basic knowledge of lighting and stage rigging and a practical knowledge of theatre and production operations Education, Experience, Certifications and Licensure High School diploma or equivalent. Certificate in audio technology or similar recommended. 3-5 years experience in similar role. Experience in technical entertainment including lighting design, set design, and lighting board programming. Physical Demands Stand, walk, or sit for extended periods of time as required by job. Ability to lift and carry objects weighing 25 pounds and occasionally up to 50 pounds. Bend, stoop, kneel, or crouch to perform tasks in various environments. Ability to talk and hear, reach, and grasp, see and adjust visual focus. Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, and color vision. Must be able to work at heights and stand for long periods of time. Work Environment and Travel This job operates in a professional office and ministry environment. This role routinely interacts with staff, volunteers, and guests. The primary campus location for this role: Central Local travel may be required for All Staff Meetings and some out of area and overnight travel may be expected. 33+ hours per week, which includes: Sunday morning Gatherings 6:30am•2:00pm. Four days during the Monday through Friday work week window, primarily during the hours of 8:30am•5:00pm. Flexibility for days, evenings, weekends, and some holidays Routinely requires evening and weekend work pertaining to ministry's needs and events which occur in the evenings or on weekends. Attendance at the following staff meetings is required for this role: Reset, Annual Meeting, any required staff training, recurring meetings as required, and additional meetings as requested.
