Production Assistant — Photo Production (Lighting & Studio) Full Time - Onsite in
Costa Mesa, CA Pay Range:

Learn more at WOLFpak.com. Role Overview Full-time, onsite Production Assistant focused on studio lighting, shoot setup, and production support with stronger photography responsibilities. This role supports photographers and also executes mid-level photographic tasks (product, lifestyle, and apparel), contributes to creative direction, and helps deliver final assets. Key Responsibilities Assist with studio lighting setup, grip, modifiers, and equipment maintenance. Shoot product, lifestyle, and apparel images as needed (in-studio and on-location) including detail, flat-lay, and styled hero shots. Collaborate on creative direction, moodboards, shot lists, and shot composition. Operate cameras and basic lighting independently for assigned projects; support lead photographer on complex shoots. Build and style sets, manage props, wardrobe, and product prep. Provide model/talent support and direct models when required. Perform file ingest, basic RAW processing, color correction, and light retouching in Lightroom/Photoshop. Maintain organized asset archives and assist in preparing deliverables for e‑commerce and marketing. Maintain studio inventory, order supplies, and ensure a safe, efficient workspace. Qualifications 1-4 years experience in studio production or photography assistant roles with demonstrable hands-on camera and lighting work. Comfortable operating professional digital cameras and studio lighting (strobes, continuous, modifiers). Strong understanding of composition, exposure, color, depth of field, and lighting techniques for product and lifestyle shoots. Proficiency with Adobe Lightroom and basic Photoshop retouching; ability to perform color correction and prepare web-ready files. Able to multitask, prioritize, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced studio environment. Physical ability to lift and move equipment; reliable, punctual, and team-oriented. Portfolio or examples of photography and production work required (shots showing product, lifestyle, or apparel).
