What Lies Within

Casting "What Lies Within," a grounded psychological fantasy short film inspired by Proverbs 23:7, "For as he thinketh in his heart, so is he…" The focus is on three men sent to retrieve an artifact. As they journey home, the object begins to influence them, not by creating desire but by amplifying what already exists within them. Each man is forced to confront his own inner beliefs, his fears, his failures, and what he truly believes about himself. As reality begins to distort, the film explores the cost of surrendering to unchecked desire over choosing truth. The story builds toward a breaking point where identity, belief, and choice collide. At its core, the film is about the moment a person is faced with who they truly are, and what they choose to do with that truth, how internal beliefs shape perception and action. The artifact acts as a mirror, pushing each character toward a choice. The goal is to create a visually immersive world with grounded human performance.
