Full-Time Photographer Penny Linn | Rowayton, CT & Chelsea, NYC About Us Penny Linn Designs is a needlepoint company built on color, craft, and community. From our flagship in Rowayton, Connecticut to our newly opened shop in Chelsea, Manhattan, we design hand-painted canvases, host stitching classes and events, and connect a passionate community of needlepointers across the country. Our brand lives on a simple idea: that a beautiful, well-made thing is worth slowing down for. The Role We're hiring a full-time photographer to own the visual storytelling for our brand across both locations. You'll shoot everything — finished products and canvases, lifestyle and editorial campaigns, in-store events, customer moments, behind-the-scenes content, and the website. Your work will live on our e-commerce site, social channels, marketing emails, print pieces, and press features. This is a hands-on, in-house role for someone who loves color, texture, and craft, and who can move fluidly between a tightly art-directed product shoot in the morning and a packed trunk show in the evening. What You'll Do Shoot product and canvas photography for the website and catalog — clean, on-brand, color-accurate, and at scale Capture lifestyle and editorial imagery that brings our designs into beautifully styled real-world settings Photograph in-store events, classes, launches, and social content at both locations Create photo and short-form video content for Instagram, TikTok, Pinterest, and email Edit, retouch, color-correct, and deliver final assets on tight turnarounds Maintain and organize our photo library, naming conventions, and asset management system Collaborate with the marketing, e-commerce, and design teams on shot lists, mood boards, and seasonal campaigns Help develop and evolve our visual language as the brand grows What We're Looking For 3+ years of professional photography experience, ideally in retail, lifestyle, fashion, or a consumer brand A strong portfolio that shows real range — product, lifestyle, and event work Mastery of your own equipment (camera, lighting, tethering setup) Expert-level Adobe Lightroom and Photoshop; Capture One a plus Comfort shooting short-form video and a working knowledge of basic video editing (Premiere, CapCut, or similar) A great eye for color, composition, and styling — you notice the small things Self-directed and organized; able to manage your own shot lists, schedule, and post-production pipeline Warm and easy to work with on event days, where you'll be photographing customers and guests Willingness and ability to travel between Rowayton and Chelsea regularly, plus occasional travel for shoots and offsite events Nice to Have Familiarity with needlepoint, fiber arts, or the broader craft and home goods world Experience with Shopify product workflows Light styling and prop sourcing skills Social-native instincts — you understand the difference between a shot for the grid, a Reel, and a hero banner Logistics Full-time, in-person role based primarily in Rowayton, CT, with regular days at our Chelsea, NYC store Must have a valid driver's license and reliable transportation between locations Some evenings and weekends required for events Competitive salary based on experience, plus benefits and an employee discount that will absolutely get used
