We are looking for a reliable, creative, and professional photographer to capture client sessions in a fast-paced portrait studio environment. This role is ideal for someone with photography experience, strong people skills, a good eye for detail, and the ability to make clients feel comfortable and confident during their session. Our studio specializes in maternity, birthday, family, graduation, and creative portrait sessions. We will train the right candidate on our studio lighting, posing flow, session structure, and client experience. This is a photography role only. You are not required to edit or retouch photos. We have a separate editing team that handles post-production. Pay $16.25-$20.00 per hour Team members keep 100% of their client tips. Seasonal bonuses may be available during high-volume periods based on performance, reliability, and studio needs. Starting pay is based on experience, reliability, client interaction, posing ability, and ability to run sessions independently. Schedule Part-time position.
Expected hours:
20-30 hours per week. Weekend availability is required. Shifts are available Friday through Sunday between 11:00 AM and 9:00 PM. Additional weekday hours from Monday through Thursday may be available based on scheduled shoots and team availability. This position is best for someone with flexible availability, especially evenings and weekends. Duties Photograph studio portrait sessions including maternity, birthday, family, graduation, and creative portrait sessions. Guide clients through poses and help them feel comfortable, confident, and prepared during their session. Set up and adjust studio lighting, backdrops, and camera equipment as needed. Follow the studio's posing style, lighting style, timing, and session structure. Keep sessions moving smoothly and on schedule. Assist with set preparation, wardrobe flow, client movement, and studio resets between sessions. Keep the studio clean, organized, and ready for the next client. Communicate professionally with clients and team members. Arrive on time and be dependable for scheduled shifts. Skills Basic understanding of camera settings such as ISO, aperture, shutter speed, and focus. Comfortable photographing and working with women, children, couples, and families. Good eye for composition, lighting, posing, and detail. Strong communication and people skills. Ability to take direction and follow an established studio workflow. Ability to stay calm and professional in a fast-paced environment. Reliable, punctual, coachable, and professional. Requirements Some photography experience required. Reliable transportation required. Must be available evenings and weekends. Must be comfortable working directly with clients. Must be willing to learn our posing, lighting, and studio workflow. Must be dependable and able to show up on time for scheduled shifts. Preferred, But Not Required Experience with studio lighting. Experience photographing maternity, birthday, family, graduation, or portrait sessions. Experience using Canon cameras. Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus. Basic Lightroom or Photoshop knowledge is a plus, but editing is not required for this position.
