Required Equipment to start training:

A DSLR Full-frame camera with a 16-35mm lens or wider

• highly preferred camera is Sony a7iii, a7iv , A7V, ZV-E1 (please note that you will need one of these cameras to do video) A tripod that is easy to adjust quickly (Peak Design travel tripod preferred) Lightroom Classic (immediate need) Requirements before starting training: Already have OR schedule the test and pass your Part 107 Drone license exam (you do not have to have purchased a drone, but you need to have passed the exam•we can send you test taking resources) Will need to purchase within a few months of starting: DJI Air 3 Drone DJI RS3 or RS4 (recommended) (this is if you want to do video•you will never be able to earn the high end of the average payout without video) Bonus Points (but not required): Experience shooting and/or photos and/or video Real estate photography experience Directing clients at a shoot (sometimes you're alone at a shoot, sometimes clients, the agent, and all their kids and pets are there)

Required Skills:

Customer service experience, working face to face with people Confident in problem-solving Ability to assess and handle unknown situations Flexibility Take initiative CLEAR communication skills Ability to deal with highly stressed people An eye for detail Very open to feedback Not afraid of basements or dogs (you will encounter both regularly) Other things to know: Our smallest package payout is $30 and our largest is $270 You will have days where you will be very busy and some days where you are not or have zero shoots You will get paid a lot more in the busy months April-Sept and less in the slower months, Nov-Feb You will have 2-3 weeks of training, and as a freelancer, training is unpaid

• you will start earning when you are done with training and on the schedule for shoots This job posting states for the Grinnell area
• you do not have to be specifically in Grinnell but somewhat Grinnell, Newton, Pella, Oskaloosa, etc is highly preferred and we will prioritize candidates who are based in those areas currently We'll provide training and support to help you succeed.
