Job Description
When?
SATURDAY MAY
23rd 8am-5pm . By putting in for this job you are saying you're available for this one day gig during these hours. Where?COEUR D'ALENE IDAHO.
You need reliable transportation to the job in CDA, ID. Address of event will be provided after you're hired.IMPORTANT
You must own your ownDSLR/MIRRORLESS
camera and have a zoom lens (preferred 75-300mm zoom lens, but can be slightly lower). Must use SD cards and camera needs to be semi-modern (last 10 years). What is the GIG? Gig is standing in foul ball territory of youth softball games and consistently getting specific photos we need you to get, about 10 specific photos per player for about 22 players per game . By the end of the day (after about 5-7 games) you'll turn in our SD card back to us with approx 200 unique action shots each game or about 1500-2500 photos. These are taken during live game play, not posed, so we're just getting as many photos as we can of every player. You may be asked to come in on the night before for training, preference given to those who are able to come in for 30 min the night before to be trained. You will be paid $25 for this 1/2 hour training if, and only if, you complete your day of work the following day. You must be in good physical condition to be able to stand on the field and take these photos, doing motions such as standing for long periods and small amounts of running/moving. You must know how to operate your camera on manual mode (auto settings are not acceptable) & understand the basics of photography (how to control and change exposure quickly). Outdoor/event/sports photography experience will be given priority. Small Print to be aware of: Although this is a beginners photography gig, you must have a basic understanding of how to accurately take the photos we ask you to take & how to adjust basic camera settings. We expect you to be working all hrs, but if you leave early you will be paid for the time you were there only. We will check your photos a few times throughout the day, but if you do not follow our instructions (ie not get the photos we ask, photos are not properly taken, extreme undershooting) you may be let go early or if the photos are very bad (not following our direction to an extreme level) you will not be paid because you did not fulfill the job. This isn't a job you can just stand there getting whatever and get paid. We give specific instructions of what we're looking for & expect you to follow it. It's important that you make sure your photos are acceptable and meeting expectations as you go forward through the day. Once you get in the rhythm the job is fun and repeatable every game. If you like the work, there are other opportunies to work with us in other areas and in future years. Many photographers work with us for multiple years and enjoy the job.SEND US YOUR PHOTO SAMPLES OF SPORTING EVENTS OR LIVE EVENTS AND TELL US YOUR CAMERA TYPE AND ZOOM LENS.
