Coverage Area:
Worcester and surrounding communities, typically within 30 minutes of Worcester, with occasional drives up to 60 minutes or more depending on traffic and project needs. Must have a reliable vehicle, valid driver's license, and be comfortable driving throughout Worcester, Central Massachusetts, and surrounding areas. Before we get into the details, here's the most important thing to know: We like to say we're customer service people first, we just happen to hold a camera! Yes, you'll be capturing photo, video, and drone content, but you'll also be walking into people's homes, working directly with real estate agents, and representing our company at every appointment. The media matters, but the experience matters just as much. That's why we're looking for someone who is friendly, professional, dependable, and genuinely enjoys working with people. About the Role We're hiring a personable, dependable, and coachable team member to join our growing real estate media company serving Worcester and the surrounding areas. This role is perfect for someone who enjoys being out and about rather than sitting behind a desk all day. One day you might be photographing a luxury home, the next you're capturing drone footage, meeting new clients, and helping local real estate agents market their listings. No professional real estate photography experience is required. We care far more about personality, communication skills, reliability, and willingness to learn than prior technical experience. If you're friendly, tech-savvy, customer-focused, and enjoy working independently while meeting new people, this could be an amazing fit. What You'll Do Travel to residential properties throughout the Worcester area Capture interior and exterior listing photos and basic video content Operate drone photography when applicable (training provided) Communicate professionally with agents and homeowners Follow company shooting processes and quality standards Upload media after appointments (no editing required) Deliver an exceptional customer experience at every shoot Collaborate with both local team members and offshore support staff This is an active, field-based role where no two days look exactly the same. Schedule & Availability Hours typically range from 10-30 hours per week depending on seasonality and client demand Work volume fluctuates throughout the year and is not guaranteed Preferred availability includes Thursday through Monday coverage Consistent availability during these days is strongly preferred Most appointments occur during standard daytime business hours (9am to dusk) Flexibility, punctuality, and reliability are essential Some days may involve significant driving between appointments One of the best parts of this role is the flexibility and variety. You'll spend your days visiting different homes, meeting new people, and working independently while still being supported by a great team. Compensation Paid training provided at a fixed rate of $15/hour Standard photo shoots start at $25 per unit Each unit represents approximately 60 minutes of scheduled on-site time Once FAA drone certified, compensation increases to $30 per unit Additional pay available for video projects and specialty services Mileage reimbursement provided at $0.30 per mile This is an independent contractor (1099) position. Benefits are not provided, and contractors are responsible for their own tax withholdings. Real estate media can involve long days, traffic, schedule changes, and unexpected situations. A positive attitude and commitment to serving clients well are critical for success. Requirements Reliable smartphone Reliable high-speed internet Access to a home computer Dependable personal vehicle Comfortable spending a significant portion of the day driving between appointments Willingness to obtain FAA Part 107 Drone Certification within 30 days of hire (training and guidance provided) Comfortable learning drone operations Ability to lift and carry photography equipment Comfortable walking multiple properties, climbing stairs, and being active throughout the day This role can be physically demanding at times. Some days involve extended driving, multiple appointments, stairs, and carrying equipment. Candidates should be comfortable with an active, on-the-go work environment. Customer service, hospitality, retail, restaurant, property management, or other client-facing experience is a huge plus!
