Job Description

WHO WE ARE
Kemmetmueller Photography Inc. is a family-owned photography studio who specializes in school and sports portrait photography. We are searching for exceptionally talented and motivated photographers who enjoy working with school-aged children. Our rapidly expanding studio needs additional staff to help maintain and execute our photography schedules. Must be able to start in time for training beginning of August. So, if you love working with children, even if it's early in the morning and… If you are a hard worker who gets your joy from executing tasks quickly and efficiently and… If you are never happier than working as part of a small team that gets things DONE... Then we are looking for YOU! This is an in-person position, with varying locations throughout the Twin Cities metro area and beyond. Schedules vary from day to day depending on which photoshoots you are scheduled on. Hours vary each week, but are expected to be ~20/week in April-mid June, very slow in late June and July, and transition to ~40/week in August.
JOB DUTIES
  • Communicate to and assist other Photographers in achieving Kemmetmueller Photography's image standards.
  • Provide clear instructions and support to team members during photoshoots.
  • Communicate effectively with staff, parents, and students at all photoshoots. Be the primary person responsible for problem solving and have a solution oriented demeaner.
  • Support general office tasks and photo editing in the office (training provided).
  • Set and test equipment prior to the photoshoot (equipment provided).
  • Take student/athlete portraits in a fun and active environment with kids of all ages.
  • After the photoshoot, ensure all photos are brought back to the studio and all equipment is disassembled.
  • Travelling to area schools, sites, and studio from the comfort of their own vehicle.
You are also responsible for bringing proper supplies to and from photoshoots.
WHAT YOU BRING
  • 3+ years of photography experience required (additional training provided upon hire)
  • 2+ years of outdoor photography experience required
  • 2+ years of studio lighting experience preferred
  • Strong oral communication skills
  • Strong leadership skills
  • Basic computer skills and digital competency
  • Adaptability
  • able to think on your feet
  • Professional yet personable demeanor
  • A fun, can-do attitude and a strong work ethic
  • Experience working with children is preferred
  • Education:
    High school or equivalent
  • Ability to lift and operate camera equipment up to 50 lbs.
  • Fluency in English, other languages like Spanish may be helpful!
Pay is $24.50/hour and a $3/hour bonus seasonally. Mileage stipends are available.
Pay:
$27.50 per hour
