At Now I Lay Me Down to Sleep (NILMDTS), we believe every family experiencing the loss of a baby deserves the opportunity to have tangible memories to hold onto. We are seeking compassionate photographers who want to use their talent and heart to serve families during one of the most difficult moments of their lives. As an Affiliated Photographer, you will provide remembrance photography sessions for families experiencing the loss of a baby. Your gift of photography can provide families with timeless images they may treasure for a lifetime.
What You'll Do:
Respond to photography session requests in your local service area based on your availability Photograph remembrance sessions in hospitals Create beautiful and meaningful images for grieving families Work compassionately and professionally alongside healthcare teams and family members Upload images for editing and delivery according to NILMDTS guidelines
Why This Role Matters:
The images created through NILMDTS often become some of a family's most treasured possessions. During a time when parents leave the hospital with empty arms, these photographs provide lasting memories and tangible connections to their baby.
Qualifications:
Photography experience and technical proficiency Professional or advanced hobbyist photography skills Access to professional-quality camera equipment Strong interpersonal skills and compassion Ability to remain calm and professional in emotionally sensitive environments Reliable transportation Must meet organization onboarding requirements Training & Support NILMDTS provides: Specialized bereavement photography training Ongoing support and educational resources Access to a compassionate volunteer community Guidance and best practices for serving families Time Commitment Volunteer photographers serve on a flexible, on-call basis according to personal availability and geographic service area. Dispatch hours are 7am-10pm, volunteers are not expected to go at times that don't work for them. We work with volunteer schedules. Through the gift of photography, our volunteers help families preserve memories during moments that matter most.
