Part-time roles available Schedule needs: Must be available weekends and the entire month of December (no absences) About the Role Portrait Pros is a high-volume, people-first studio seeking photographers who can deliver an outstanding client experience from newborns to seniors and everyone in between. You'll photograph, gently direct and pose clients, cull and edit images, and help guests feel comfortable and excited about their portraits. We're looking for reliable, upbeat, and charismatic creatives who thrive in a fast-paced studio and love working with families.
What You'll Do Studio Photography:
Capture high-quality portraits for newborns, kids, families, graduates, professionals, and seniors using DSLR camera bodies and studio lighting.
Client Experience:
Greet clients, review session goals, offer posing guidance, and keep sessions fun, efficient, and on-brand.
Newborn & Child Safety:
Handle and pose newborns safely (spotting, temperature awareness, sanitation) and keep toddlers engaged with patience and care.
Lighting & Setup:
Build and break down sets, adjust backdrops/props, and dial in key/fill/rim lighting to suit each look.
Editing & Delivery:
Cull, color-correct, and lightly retouch in Adobe Lightroom (basic Photoshop a plus). Export according to studio presets and naming conventions.
Quality Control:
Ensure sharpness, exposure, color accuracy, and consistency across proofs and final selects.
Collaboration & Sales Support:
Coordinate with the front desk/sales team, answer client questions, and (when needed) walk guests through image selections and package options.
Studio Care:
Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary studio—especially for newborn sessions (blankets/props cleaned between uses).
Reliability:
Arrive on time, prepared, and ready to shoot—especially during busy season. Must-Have Qualifications Hands-on DSLR proficiency (manual exposure, white balance, lenses, and basic studio flash/modifiers). Adobe Lightroom proficiency (culling, global/local adjustments, presets, export workflows). Weekend availability and no planned absences in December (peak season). Outstanding people skills —warm, charismatic, and comfortable directing clients of all ages. Reliability & professionalism —punctual, organized, and consistent under pressure. Ability to stand for extended periods and safely lift/move equipment (up to ~30-40 lbs). Current authorization to work in the U.S. Nice-to-Haves Experience posing newborns safely and confidently; infant/child CPR certification is a plus. Basic Photoshop (skin cleanup, background cleanup, head swaps). Tethered shooting, color-managed workflow, and studio lighting ratios. Retail or service experience in a fast-paced, guest-facing environment. Bilingual skills.
